The Review of Elm

Okay, I'm using Elm for more than 2 weeks.
It doesn't makes me angry, the interfaces are greatly designed, and it also contains some useful applications.

1. The simple widgets
There are 4 widgets for my phone (actually it got 5 but don't know why my phone only got 4, the missing one is MySpace)
I use Facebook and Twitter the most.
I use the Facebook widget to post statuses, it can see photos, but very small (means suck)
Twitter is much better than Facebook
Well, like nobody using Twitter here so I skipped.

2. Alarms
Although it only can set 5 alarms, but it still convenient.
You can choose different tones for different alarms, you can set photos and texts for alarm, you can choose the loudness of alarm, you can choose the recurrent of alarms, and blah blah blah. I always get scared because the loudness of alarm, it makes me energetic after sleep.

3. The WiFi
It is convenient for me, because I got wireless router in my home.
I can use internet wirelessly. And the battery hardly to decrease when using WiFi. But the built-in browser, and also Opera Mini don't function well. I can use WiFi to check mail too, thanks to the Messaging.

4. The new system
The new system doesn't lag (except you're running too many apps) like previous Sony Ericsson phones (The new Sony Ericsson phones with new system are Aino, Yari, Elm, Hazel, Cedar, Zylo and Spiro). It responds fast in Media, the Music interface is much changed with large album art display...

5. The GPS
It can't versus with the professional GPS gadgets, but it is ease to use. Sometimes it shows the position not very accurate. Besides, it also got geo-tagging built-in, means it will saves the position you took photos on those photos. After that you can see your photos nicely arranged on the earth through Google Earth on PC. (with Picasa)

6. Sony Ericsson PC Suite, Media Go by Sony and Update Service
Because of a phone, I installed these softwares on PC. Well, these softwares do not lag (except Media Go by Sony) like Nokia PC Suite or Nokia Ovi Suite. I use the Sony Ericsson PC Suite the most, it can directly open and transfer files between PC and phone memory and memory card. It really convenient for those who always take photos out from phone. Media Go is just like iTunes, but it is hard to use, but you can enjoy the media on phone by download the contents in PC through WiFi. Hight-tect huh? (but it's crap, don't expect it so much). The Update Service is better than Nokia Software Updater.

7. Some amazing little features
When music is playing, you can play to previous/next song by press and hold +/- buttons beside the phone (WOW I love this function). A note (only one) you made can be showing on the standby screen (like reminder). And much more I'm lazy to describe.

*Actually I hate Sony Ericsson before, that time is K750i and W800i time (lol very old phones). The interface is bad than Nokia's (last time). But I can see the improvement in W910i time, but it lag...... lag until Aino and Yari time. LOL~~
